Tom Brady shared a Mother’s Day message Sunday on
Instagram and included ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, more than six months after the couple confirmed their divorce. Along with Bündchen, Brady included his mom Galynn and his ex Bridget Moynahan, who shares a 15-year-old son, Jack, with the retired quarterback. “Happy Mother’s Day to all these amazing
Women who have given our family so much throughout their lives,” Brady wrote. “Thank you all for your love, compassion and kindness, and for setting such an amazing example for all of our little ones. We are all so grateful for your support and helping us all achieve our dreams. I wish all the mothers in the world a special day with the people that love them the most.” After 13 years of marriage, Brady and Bündchen finalized their divorce during his 23rd and final season in the
NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce,” Bündchen wrote on her Instagram story at the time. “My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.” “And we kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you,” Brady concluded with on his own Instagram story. Speculation surrounded the reasoning behind the divorce and the most popular theory that arose involved Bündchen giving Brady an ultimatum — retire or break up. The 42-year-old model addressed the rumor in a late-March Vanity Fair story , calling it “very hurtful” and and “the craziest thing I’ve ever heard.” “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart,” she said. Bündchen claimed “everything” written about the split was false. “What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle. It’s not so black and white.” The couple met when Bündchen was 26 and Brady was 29, both of them wanting a family, but over time, she explained, they realized they wanted “different things.” The former couple have two children together — a daughter Vivian, 10, and 13-year-old son Benjamin.
