One of Eurovision 2022's standout acts was Norway which featured (extra) bonkers yellow wolves in suits singing about bananas. And it turns out one of the disguised, suit-clad Subwoolfer members is a bonafide 1990s boyband star - Ben Adams of A1. The
Singer appeared on Lorraine on Friday, May 12 and spoke about how he ended up donning the yellow ears and performing Give That Wolf A Banana in Turin last year. Some Eurovision experts, such as commentator Graham Norton, teased that the Londoner was hidden among the Norweigan band, that landed 10th in the rankings during Eurovision 2022. Read more: All the Welsh Eurovision acts ever and the one that actually won Ben, who with A1 alongside Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen and Mark Read had a number of hits in the late 1990s and early 2000s, told Lorraine that the Eurovision experience was like "the longest version of The Masked Singer". A1 band member Ben Adams was a Subwoolfer wolf! "Even my family didn't know! I'll be honest, I just turned 40 and it's not exactly what I imagined I'd be doing," said Ben, who got involved with Subwoolfer after attending a songwriting camp in Norway, where his bandmate, Christian, comes from. "I don't think there's any other platform [you could do this.] "Surprisingly it's very hard to find an artist that wants to do a song called Give That Wolf a Banana, so we ended up having to do it ourselves and I just had the most ridiculous, ridiculous time ever since." Other than Graham Norton almost giving the game away, Ben added that a few other celebs almost let the cat out of the bag when they saw him at last year's Eurovision, namely Sam Ryder and Ronan Keating.
