Social Media, he wrote: "Just got absolutely drenched in a huge thunderstorm in
London. Abandoning plans to cycle to Buckingham Palace for tonight’s Channel 5 news. "See you at 5 on 5… need a few hours with a hair dryer first." The ex-BBC Breakfast presenter was flooded with support from his fans as one person wrote: "Go steady on that bike mate please." Kate Middleton carried out a spontaneous walkabout outside of Buckingham Palace on Friday. The surprise appearance shocked royal fans who had been lining The Mall as they surged to snap selfies with the royals and shake hands with them.
