After months of speculation, the Glazers are finally set to negotiate a price for
Manchester United with the leading bidders. Multiple bids have already been received, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani the two frontrunners. Yet the six Glazer siblings are split on sanctioning a full sale, with Joel and Avram happy to stay on board and seek new investment. If the Glazers sell all of their shares, they want £6billion. Ratcliffe, Sheikh Jassim and others are reluctant to match that figure, as they await a response from Raine Group - the merchant bank acting on the Glazers' behalf. It remains to been how the saga will unfold. Austria midfielder Sabitzer joined on loan from Bayern Munich at the end of the January transfer window as cover for the injured Christian Eriksen. While Eriksen is closing in on a return to first-team action, the new arrival has been a regular fixture in matchday squads under Erik ten Hag. Wednesday's victory over Brentford saw the 29-year-old thrive in a less familiar number 10 role, potentially strengthening his case for a permanent move over the summer after hinting at a switch.
