The Italian looks to be on the way out of the English Premier League heavyweights in the wake of a heated rant at the club and dressing room in the wake of the collapse against Southampton. Conte , who is out of contract at the end of the season, tore into the Tottenham “story” as he explained why the club never won anything and stated that sacking him would not improve the side - as he accused his players of lacking fight. Conte and his backroom staff could be out by the weekend if they can come to terms with an exit package. Coach Ryan Mason is set to step up as interim boss for the second time - having taken the reins from Jose Mourinho previously - until the end of the campaign. The Parkhead boss is targeting a Treble this season with the Hoops on course to claim a second Scottish Premiership title since his arrival, with the Viaplay Cup already in the trophy cabinet. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly drawn up a five man shortlist of candidates including former boss Mauricio Pochettino, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Frank of Brentford and Eintracht Frankfurt gaffer Oliver Glasner alongside Parkhead boss Postecoglou. The Australian has previously swerved speculation over a move to Spurs - insisting he had no interest in the rumour mill. Earlier this month, he said: “It’s not of interest to me. I don’t wake up and get an early briefing on the latest gossip. "The rest of it doesn’t mean anything to me. It doesn’t affect me or the people around me. Like most things, people want to have something to talk about.” READ NEXT Read More Related Articles Uncanny Celtic conjuring magic has led to scared Rangers boo boys hunting Ross Wilson – Hotline Read More Related Articles Who is Dominic Hyam?
