After an exciting unveiling of the 2023 Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Restaurant of the Year and the revamped list of 10 Best New Restaurants and More , diners are now invited to experience food and drinks curated by the winners firsthand. Beginning this Thursday, March 23, we kick off ticket sales for the Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Top 10 Takeover dinner and cocktail series. For nearly a decade, the Free Press and Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers have maintained a charitable effort through the dinner series. Since 2014, the series has donated a portion of proceeds to Forgotten Harvest , raising more than $15,000 for the nonprofit, which aims to fight food insecurity in metro Detroit. The 2023 Top 10 Takeover series will continue the tradition, donating $3 of each ticket sold to the organization. This year’s list included the addition of a Best New Pop-Up, an Emerging Chef and three new cocktails bars, each representing the breadth of excellence within metro Detroit’s dining and beverage scene. As such, the Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Top 10 Takeover series will follow suit with cocktail-forward experiences at some events and imaginative new settings for others.
