Brazil – and they both face tricky assignments

Football, fans can still take pride from the fact that the Brasileirão continues to provide unpredictable winners and title races that go down to the wire. With just one round of fixtures left to play – all 20 teams in the Brazilian top flight are in action on Thursday night – there are two clubs competing for the title.
It is no surprise that reigning champions Flamengo are in the running. They are hoping to win back-to-back titles for the first time since the days of Zico in 1982 and 1983. That Internacional are their challengers is more of a surprise. Even though they won the Copa Libertadores in 2006 and 2010, Inter have not been Brazilian champions for 42 years.
