Former President
Donald Trump, a self-described "very smart guy," has outfoxed the Screen Actors Guild by resigning before the union's disciplinary committee could kick him out.
"I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!" wrote Trump in an extremely on-brand letter to SAG-AFTRA president (and former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress) Gabrielle Carteris.
The former president went on to say, "While I'm not familiar with your work, I'm very proud of my work on movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander, and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps —" presumably Carteris is supposed to quaking in her boots at this point "— and television shows including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,
Saturday Night Live, and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, The Apprentice — to name just a few!"
Nevertheless, SAG-AFTRA promptly responded with the shortest possible statement in response: "Thank you." Read the full letter below.
