With all the discussion about what
Christmas may or may not look like this year, there’s a lot of uncertainty about this year’s festive season.
One thing that social distancing and
Coronavirus restrictions can’t take away from us though is the joy of Christmas films – and
Netflix has gifted us an early present in that respect.
The streaming service has released the
trailer for their big festive offering for 2020, Jingle Jangle, and it’s already got us in the seasonal spirit. The film follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle – played by Forest Whitaker – whose most prized creation is stolen by his apprentice (Keegan-Michael Key).
Jangle’s equally bright and inventive granddaughter (Madalen Mills) seeks to heal old wounds with the help of a long-forgotten invention and reawaken the magic.
The film – written and directed by David E. Talbert – also features original songs by John Legend, Philip Lawrence, Davy Nathan, with This Day performed by Usher and Kiana Ledé. And if you’re hoping to cheer yourself up with a new festive flick, there’s not too long to wait, as Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey arrives on Netflix on 13 November.
