The number of people who have died across the
UK after contracting
Coronavirus has risen by at least 84 in 24 hours.
The increase consists of 78 hospital patients in
England, one in Northern
Ireland and five hospital patients and care home residents in Wales.
Scotland reported zero deaths during the 24-hour period
So far, no UK-wide figures from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) have been released, so the total is taken from each nation’s individual reporting.
It brings the working total to 43,498.
But the government tally, when it is released later today, is likely to differ as it includes deaths in care homes and the community from all four nations, as well as reflecting slightly different 24-hour windows in some countries.
