Gino D’Acampo has hit back at trolls after he shared a picture of him kissing and cuddling his daughter in bed.
The 43-year-old This Morning chef was on the receiving end of comments last month from some people claiming that it was “wrong” for him to do so.
But on Monday night, the TV chef shared a video of him in bed again with seven-year-old Mia, calling his critics “weird” for their response to him being affectionate with his daughter.Something to think about.......I wish you all a Happy New Year.....GDx pic.twitter.com/4wIVYmC60r— Gino D'Acampo (@Ginofantastico) December 30, 2019In the video, Gino says to Mia: “You know last time I put a picture in the bed and put kiss and cuddles, a lot of people they thought it was weird. I thought it was nice because we can do cuddly, and I love you so much.”
Mia then asks: “Why did they think it was weird?”
“I don’t know,” Gino responds. “I think they are the weird ones. Nothing wrong with daughter and daddy cuddling in bed, right? What message should we send these people?”
Cue Mia sticking out her tongue and flipping the bird.A laughing Gino then tells his daughter: “Mummy is going to kill you!”
The Italian star captioned his video: “Something to think about.......I wish you all a Happy New Year.....GDx”
Last year, parents came out in support of
David Beckham after a photograph of him kissing his daughter Harper on the lips drew criticism from some quarters for being inappropriate.
The photo showed the footballer on an ice skating rink in
London kissing seven-year-old Harper with the caption: “Christmas is coming 🎅🏼 Let’s go skate ♥️” View this post on InstagramA post shared by David Beckham (@davidbeckham) on Nov 26, 2018 at 1:35pm PSTAfter the picture was posted one fan said: “Why would you kiss your daughter on the lips it’s disgusting it’s the second time now he’s done that it needs to be taken further that’s just not right very weird!”
But most parents came out in support of David and said that they also kiss their parents on the lips, even though they aren’t children anymore.
One said: “I’m 40 and still kiss my father on the lips. I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s love. And admiration. And everyone in my family sees it as a sign of respect. Kudos for teaching this beautiful tradition.”READ MORE: Gino D’Acampo Debuted A New Look On This Morning And People Have...
