Breaking Bad star Robert Forster has died at the age of 78.
The actor, who played vacuum salesman Ed Galbraith in the
Netflix show died on Friday, following a battle with brain cancer.Robert’s Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston was one of the first to pay tribute.I’m saddened today by the news that Robert Forster has passed away. The
Actor appeared in over one hundred movies during his five decade-long career, including The Descendants, Me, Myself & Irene, The Fallen, Twin Peaks: The Return and Mulholland Drive.
He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of bondsman Max Cherry in the 1997 Quentin Tarantino film, Jackie Brown.
Speaking about how that role revived his career, Forster said in 2011: “I said to him [Tarantino], ‘Look, I appreciate it, but I don’t think they’ll let you hire me.’ And he said, ‘I hire anybody I want.’ And that’s when the world stopped.
“I could not believe that I was going to get another shot at this business. But this guy gave it to me. He gave me a gift, the size of which cannot be exaggerated... Jackie Brown pulled me out of the fire.”

He is survived by four children, four grandchildren, and his long-time partner, Denise Grayson.
