Social Media users hit out at Josh for not making a public statement supporting his former on-screen brother. But Drake has made sure to let the public know that Josh did reach out and was a big help. "Josh worked on The Amanda Show, so he saw and knew what was going on," Drake told Amanda Hirsh, the host of the podcast. He added: "But I appreciate that he reached out to me privately and didn't go straight to the media because he was there with me and saw what I was going through." Peck abused Drake for months before the hit show Drake & Josh aired in 2004, but Drake admitted that people on the set of that show and The Amanda Show knew some details of what happened to him. "I don't think he knew specifics, but there were people who worked on the show that knew who it was," he said, speaking of who the minor was in the case. Peck got a 16 month sentence in
prison and had to register as a sex offender. He was one of the few abusers called out in the documentary series who worked at Nickelodeon. About Josh reaching out, Drake said: "He just knew how sensitive this was for me and after watching the documentary, he learned so much that I had gone through and I think he was just so sensitive and made sure to reach out to me privately rather than just going straight to social media." This wasn't the first time that Drake addressed Josh reaching out. Last month, Drake took to TikTok to tell fans that Josh reached out and they should stop harassing Josh online for not doing so.
