Sport Oxford and Cambridge will do battle in the 2024 edition of The Boat Race today. Despite the Cambridge dominance in recent years, Oxford are the favourites to triumph in both the men’s and women’s events. Fans will line the River Thames from Putney to Mortlake for the top university sporting event on the calendar. However, they won’t fancy getting too close given the warnings of E. coli in the water - which have led to serious criticism from the two teams over the quality of the water they will be rowing in.
