A much-loved and popular new mum who was "one in a million" and would do "absolutely anything for anyone" has tragically died at the age of just 28 after suffering a rare stroke. Heidi Brown, from Grimsby , passed away on Wednesday, March 27 after spending the last month on a life support machine at Grimsby's Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, where she was taken after suffering a rare cerebellar stroke, which happens when the flow of blood to the part of the brain that controls motor movement and balance is stopped. I've always described her as having an unyielding spirit, she was unstoppable. Even when she had the stroke, I always said that if anyone had the willpower to overcome it, it would've been her. "She was always so passionate with everything she did, and she always had the happiness of others at the forefront of her mind. She wanted people to be together and happy. Some of her friends didn't have family members, so one New Year's Eve she brought them all together and cooked for them. I've never met anyone who disliked her because she was so loveable, and she'd do absolutely anything for anyone." Cohen said Heidi was the "perfect mum" to little Perry, and that the couple were inseparable since making things official two years ago after being friends for years. "She said about a week-and-a-half before she had the stroke that she'd always felt like something was missing from her life, but now that she had him everything was OK," he said. Heidi absolutely adored her baby boy (Image: Submitted) "She absolutely adored him, and she was the perfect mum. Me and her were inseparable, and she always brought out the outgoing side of me." Speaking about Heidi's stroke, Cohen said the day before she was taken to hospital, she suffered with severe neck ache and stiff shoulders. The following day, she began to struggle with her speech, and could only communicate with one or two words at a time, as well as being unable to lift her arms or legs. While the type of stroke that Heidi had typically affects one side of the brain, both of Heidi's were affected. The condition is so rare that out of all strokes, only around one to four percent of them are reported as cerebellar strokes. Heidi and Perry (Image: Submitted) Cohen continued: "It was so scary, I'm still not sleeping great because it keeps playing through my head. But I'm focusing on Perry, he's a fantastic distraction. He's the happiest little person I've ever known. He's beautiful, just like his mum." Heidi's best friend, Sophie Wressell, set up a Gofundme page last month to help Cohen with childcare and day-to-day living costs during this difficult time. An update shared by Cohen on the page reads: "It's with a heavy heart and a ton of regret that I must inform you all that unfortunately Heidi lost the fight yesterday evening.
