Friends claim the 40-year-old fell to his death, and a work colleague has now been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. police attended Campfield Road in Shoebury after receiving reports of the accident at about 10am, the Mirror reports. The tragic scene where George's fatal accident took place (Image: The Daily Mirror) A police spokesperson shared: "We received a report of an incident at Campfield Road in Shoebury at around 10am this morning (27 March), during which a man who was working at height had fallen and sustained an injury." They also added: "The ambulance service including air ambulance were in attendance. Sadly, the man died at the scene. On Thursday afternoon, a man in his 40s, believed to have worked with George, was arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in connection with George's death. The police said: "As part of our ongoing investigation into the death of a man in Campfield Road, Shoebury, we have arrested a man in their 40s from the Witham area on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. This is a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive and our inquiries are ongoing." Friends have now claimed that George "came through a skylight" and fell "80ft to concrete inside".
