Ireland. Hannah Bardell said: “A lot of people will be travelling at Easter or making future travel plans. I am urging my constituents to check their passports to avoid being caught out. “It used to be the case that a travel document had to be valid for use before its expiration date, but certain countries require this to be in place for a minimum amount of time after arrival. Similarly, some nations also require that passports are valid for a set period after the individual returns home. “I would recommend anyone with travel plans to check the rules for their destination, and check their passport, and the passports of their family members.” Don't miss the latest news from the West Lothian Courier.
