In an on the Everton website on Tuesday, he talked about his experience in the U-21s side and laid out his goal for making his senior debut further down the line. “It’s a different intensity, but a good experience, seeing how it all works,” said Ebere. “I think it’s more of a technical difference because physically, I can deal with it. It’s technical – you have to make sure everything is done to a better standard. “Getting top goalscorer with the U-18s is in sight and I’d definitely like to get more minutes with the U-21s, and take that goalscoring form into the 21s, as well. “I’m just taking it day by day for now, but my end goal is to hopefully make my senior debut at Everton.” If Ebere continues on his current trajectory, then his first-team debut may not be too far away as Dyche isn’t afraid to hand youngsters an opportunity to impress. The Toffees are looking to to create a better pathway for exciting talents to progress from their academy.
