continues to make waves around the
NBA in the worst way possible. In the first quarter of the matchup with the Orlando Magic, Green was defending Magic guard Jalen Suggs on the fast break before switching off to star forward Paolo Banchero at the top of the 3-point line. Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins then switched onto Banchero as the latter drove into the paint for a layup, which he made, plus the foul on Wiggins. As players from both teams lined up for Banchero's free throw, Green walked over to referee Ray Acosta to express his displeasure on the foul call. Acosta then walked away from a somewhat agitated Green, who continued to say words to the official, despite the conversation being seemingly over. Green continued to talk to Acosta, who then gave the 34-year-old a technical foul, which led to Warriors coach Steve Kerr calling a timeout. Once Green was assessed a technical foul, the Warriors' fiery leader continued to talk to Acosta, demanding a reason as to why he was given the foul in the first place. Green was joined by Warriors star Stephen Curry, with the latter attempting to be the mediator between the two. After a few moments, Acosta once again walked away to signal the end of the conversation, all while Green continued to talk to the official. Green, fully agitated at this point, began walking toward the Warriors' bench, and as he was doing so, it appeared as if the four-time champion made an unsavory remark toward the referee. It was after that comment that Green was given a second technical foul, ending his night after just four minutes of action. Once Green was ejected, Curry was spotted looking extremely disappointed in what just happened between his teammate and the referee. This is Green's second incident in as many days. Against the Miami Heat the night before, Green was Patty Mills as the guard attempted to go around a screen set by the star. Mills ended up on the floor and while the action looked dangerous in real-time, the referees did not call a flagrant foul on Green. Instead, the 34-year-old was only assessed a common foul, which caught fans by surprise considering how bad the foul looked at first glance.
