BBC series is filmed in a Scottish stately home and bosses are so sure of its popularity they have booked it out until the end of this decade, according to reports. Claudia Winkleman has fronted two series of the show so far, which took place at the foreboding Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Bosses are so sure of the show's continued success that they have reportedly signed up for another six years in the same location. A TV insider said: “The ultimate nightmare would be if the producers tried to return to Ardross Castle after the Beeb commissioned more series only to find it was unavailable." “That’s a very real prospect as the Highlands pile is in huge demand for weddings, which have swelled in numbers since The Traitors became so popular," they told The Sun. “Without taking this bold measure, it was at risk of becoming a victim of its own success." The series is often filmed at night and at certain times of the year, meaning filming is restricted to late spring or early autumn. The third series of The Traitors is reportedly due to start filming in a matter of weeks, with a celebrity spin-off said to be made later this year. Ardross Castle is also used for the US version of the gameshow, which is hosted by Alan Cumming. Nearly 300,000 people are said to have applied for the next series of the show, while Harry recently revealed the toll the show took on him. Chatting on the Tom Dean Medal Machine podcast, he said: "At the start of The Traitors , I would remind myself why I'm here every three or four days. But by the end, he was having to do this every five minutes because it was so hard." The contestants could be filming for up to 18 hours a day with everyone else before they all went to bed. It was only when the other contestants were back in their rooms that the traitors would go out to the tower to decide who would be "murdered" that night. "So you just had to pretend you're as tired as everyone else, but not more tired," he explained. Harry confessed that he had always wanted to be a traitor but was worried he wouldn't get the opportunity after "crumbling" in front of the "powerful" Claudia. "I'd met her and I was like, 'Oh no, she's going to think that he won't be able to handle it' because I just felt like I crumbled," he said. "Because she's actually such a powerful woman. She was speaking to me and I was sinking down into my chair. I was trying to speak to Claudia and I couldn't. I was like, 'What is happening? ' Because normally I can talk to anyone.
