Kaiju No. 8: Crunchyroll to Stream Upcoming Anime Simultaneously With Japanese Broadcast By Ahead of its highly-anticipated debut, announced they will be streaming new episodes of the upcoming anime live every week in more than 200 countries and territories around the world at the same time as its Japanese broadcast on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 am PDT. “In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity,” reads the synopsis. Who’s involved in the Kaiju No. 8 anime? Kaiju No. 8 is directed by Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya from a screenplay written by Ichiro Okouchi, based on Naoya Matsumoto’s manga series of the same name. It hails from Production I.G. and Studio Khara, with the latter supervising the show’s kaiju artwork and design. The anime features the voices of Masaya Fukunishi as Kafka Hibino / Kaiju No. 8, Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro, Wataru Katoh as Reno Ichikawa, Fairouz Ai as Kikoru Shinomiya, Kengo Kawanishi as Soshiro Hoshina, Yuki Shin as Iharu Furuhashi, Keisuke Komoto as Haruichi Izumo and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Aoi Kaguragi. As for its English dubbed version, Nazeeh Tarsha, Katelyn Barr and Adam McArthur will be lending their voices to the main characters of Kafka, Mina and Reno, respectively.
